PimpBot 5000: PimpBot is the robot pimp on the old Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Conan described him, “as combining the classic sensibilities of a 1950's robot with the dynamic flair of a 1970's street pimp”. PimpBot once mixed it up with Jonathan Harris who played Dr. Zachary Smith on Lost in Space.  No word on its plans for world or galactic domination.

W1K1 (aka W.I.K.I. or Wiki): Wiki is the pocket-sized robot that looks like a wind-up toy.  It appears in 1978-81's Jason of Star Command , which is a spin-off from Space Academy.   W1k1 assisted the members of Star Command in their fight against the evil Dragos and his sinister compatriots.  Fighting against galactic domination?  Seems implausible.

Peepo: Ah, the future where a bunch of smart kids in the Wesley Crusher mode can go to Space Academy in 1977-79 television show Space Academy. The future may seem really cool to be a kid until you meet the annoying little robot Peepo. I would sure hope they could invent better a voice-box by the time the year 3732 comes around.

Fembots: The Fembots from1997's Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery are the sexy female robots used by Dr. Evil and Frau Farbissina to attempt to kill Austin Powers. However, his striptease causes the robots to literally lose their heads before they can employ their breast cannons.

Vanessa Kensington: Vanessa is the daughter of Marie Kensington who was Austin Powers's partner from the 60's. Vanessa is introduced in 1997's Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. She is initially repulsed by Austin Powers's un-P.C. attitude; however, by film's end -- she marries him. On the other hand, in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me Austin finds out Vanessa is actually a fembot -- a female robot assassin. I guess that makes Austin Powers a robo-sexual.

Cutie Honey (aka Cutey Honey): Cutie Honey was created by Go Nagai in the 70s.  She is a girl whose father has been killed by the evil organization The Panther Claw. To add on to that, she learns she is actually an android. But wait! an android with powers. She can turn into almost any type of woman she needs to in her fight against The Panther Claw. Wait! There’s still more! She also has a kick-ass theme song. Honey Flash!

Robo Sally (aka Bimanual Dexterous Robotic Platform): Sally is an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) robot. That is right, Sally's job is to disable bombs and other explosive devices. No word on plans to take over the world.

Chani: This robot is a henchman of Nyah, in Devil Girl from Mars.  Mars needs men, so Nyah comes to the Scottish Highlands of Earth to look for some.  Okay, she was aiming for London and missed.  She uses her "indestructible robot" Chani to menace the patrons of a pub -- yes menacing -- look at it!  Sadly, her plot fails and the life on Mars dies out.

B.E.N. (aka Bio Electronic Navigator) is an abandoned robot on Treasure Planet in the Disney movie of the same name.  B.E.N. is a bit off because part of his cognitive computer has been removed.  This prevents him from knowing some vital information.  Information like removing the treasure will cause the planet to explode.  Luckily, they find his missing computer BEFORE they remove the treasure.  What a lucky break.

Hector: The robot brought to station Saturn 3 in the movie of the same name.  The robot's mission is to replace one of the scientists on the station.  In order to fulfill this mission, the robot is implanted with brain tissues from human fetuses -- what could go wrong? Then Hector gets a direct brain link from a homicidal maniac.  Oh, that is probably bad!  A few people die, before Hector is destroyed.  I would have never seen that coming.

R. Daneel Olivaw: Daneel (the 'R' stands for Robot) is one of the main characters in Isaac Asimov's Robot novels. He is indistinguishable from humans which is difficult to portray in a photo. He is the Doctor Watson to Elijah Baley's Sherlock Holmes. That is, the two go around and solve robot related crimes as Daneel is the foremost expert on the Laws of Robotics.  Of course, Daneel ends up taking over all of the galaxy.

Horde Troopers: Horde Troopers are the She-Ra equivalent of the B.A.T.s in GI Joe. Their leader, Hordak, never runs out of robots and it gives something for the Great Rebellion to take out without "killing" anything living.  No one pities the robot minions.

Klangstumper: Kubla Kraus's robot horse. After Jack Frost (aka Jack Snip) defeats Kubla Kraus, Jack takes his gold, his castle, and his horse - Klangstumper.  Full of triumph, Jack returns to the town he just saved so that he can marry his love. Unfortunately, Sir Raveneau has beat Jack to the punch.  A bitter and wiser Jack Frost becomes a winter sprite again and lends his shadow to Pardon-Me-Pete the groundhog so he can sleep in.

Keh-Nights: They are the robot baddies created by the character King Kubla Kraus in the 1979 Rankin Bass made for television film Jack Frost. It seems that Kubla Kraus has all the gold from January Junction and plans on destroy the town. Jack Frost meanwhile becomes human and wants to marry a woman named Elisa who is  a resident of January Junction.  Elisa on the other hand is in love with a golden knight named Sir Raveneau. Jack is able to stop and destroy the Keh-Nights, defeat Kubla Kraus and save January Junction from utter destruction. However, while he was doing that Elisa marries Sir Raveneau. Nice story, huh?

Tex: Tex is the robot repairman for THX. He has to repair the THX logo and the crescendo called Deep Note before every film. I don't think it speaks well for your product if it has to be repaired every time it needs to be used.

The Clinkers: What do you get when you let two mimes have their own TV show?  Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria! Or you get "The Clinkers" from the The Shields and Yarnell Show.  These robots would perform mundane human tasks with "hilarious" outcomes.  What do you want for 1977 TV?

Steel "Killer" Robot: In the serial The Mysterious Dr. Satan, the scientist named Dr. Satan hatched a cunning plan.  (With a last name of Satan, he couldn't help but turn out evil.)  He would steal the technology he needed to create an army of killer robots.  He did create a prototype, but he did not have the resources to build others.  Thus, what else could he do but turn to crime?  He is eventually thwarted by Bob Wayne who stalks the night as "The Copperhead".  (No relation to Bruce I'm sure.)

 Johnny Cab: If you need to get around Mars in the 1990 movie Total Recall, you call for a Johnny Cab.  While the mannequin head is not needed, it is there to comfort the pitiful humans that ride in the cab.  I would like to say that it took over the world, but Arnold Schwarzenegger was rather rough on the robotic cab and ruined its plans for universal domination.

REM: In the 1977 TV show Logan's Run, REM is Mountain City's advanced android repairman. Logan is a "sandman" who kills people on their 30th birthday. He realizes that "Hey! I'll turn 30 someday." Thus, with the help of Jessica, he leaves Domed City. However, there is a sandman on his tail. Logan and Jessica end up at Mountain City which is a city that serves humans. Not like that! They wish to make life as comfortable as possible for their human masters. They love humans so much that they do not want to let them go. So, Logan and Jessica need REM's help to escape Draco and Siri. Siri? Where have I heard that name before? Anyway, REM joins Logan and Jessica on their run from the law, and their many adventures. I am surprised they did not end up with dozen's of people on the run with them since they regularly gathered another person upon escaping a city.
