Will this kill the iPad?

I have always like the iPad's form factor.  Also, it has a pretty nice price.  It is in essence, a netbook but with a touch screen instead of a keyboard.  However, I hate its OS.  It is hamstrung.  It does not have the capabilities of a netbook -- which has a full OS.  Matt Buchanan at Gizmodo explains how it just got worse.  Will it kill the iPad?  I hope so!
