9.999999... reasons.

For all the math nerds that visit. (Just me? Rats!) Here is an excellent video by Vi Hart that shows several reasons why .99999... = 1.

I subscribe to Vi. You should too!

I think I saw Diverse Meteorite Mix open for Daft Punk.

We have lost xkcd...

The brilliant xkcd has left the world of rock band names.  Perhaps we should switch to tumblr names as well.  Nah!  We'll stick with band names.

Dwayne's Wednesday Robot Romper Room

Evil Robots Bill and Ted (aka Evil Robot uses): In 1991s Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, Bill and Ted are killed by the evil robots sent to replace them, all in a nefarious plot to halt the creation of a Utopian future. Or maybe it was the sad fashion of the future that drove Chuck De Nomolos over the edge. I suppose if I had to wear foam underwear I'd try to kill Bill and Ted as well.

Friday Iguana

It was a nice summer day last week -- but it wasn't even spring yet.  Nonetheless, Hank got some sun time!  Happy Friday everyone!

Dwayne's Wednesday Robot Romper Room,

Preston: In the 1995 British stop-motion Wallace and Gromit adventure called A Close Shave, Wallace's love interest Wendolene owns a robotic sheep rustling dog named Preston. Wendolene's father created Preston for good but he soon turned evil. Isn't that true with most robots, they always seem to have their switch turned to evil.

Daily Rock Band Name: Bouncing Whiffle Balls On A Parachute

The debut album of Bouncing Whiffle Balls On A Parachute called Gym Teacher was most unexpected.

Friday Iguana

In honor of Saint Patrick's Day, here is Hank sleeping in front of Kilkenny Castle.  (This photo may be a composite...)  Happy Irish!

Time travelling.

Remember that time when Godzilla got sucked into a black hole and came out the white hole on the other end, and it was 1912 when he reached earth?

Now everything in the world makes sense to me!

Muffit II: A robotic daggit (aka dog) from 1978s Battlestar Galactica. Muffit II was created to shut up Boxey after his daggit, Muffit, was lost during the Cylon holocaust. The actor who portrayed Muffit II was a chimp named Evolution "Evie". So I guess Evolution does work.

Torg. (aka Robot Torg): The Martians are worried that "Earth TV", which at various times of the year features a jolly old elf named Santa Claus, is a bad influence on their children.  Thus, they send Torg down to capture said TV star. However, the incompetent robot is convinced he is a toy and fails in his mission.  Thus, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians requires some other plot device.

Friday Iguana

Here is another invasive species photo of an Iguana in Florida.  Note: the photographer does not know much about Iguanas.  He or she claims that iguanas eat other lizards, eggs, and such.  They don't.  However, it is a nice photo.

Daily Rock Band Name: Igloos for Leathernecks

I think I saw Igloos for Leathernecks open for Bon Iver.
