Dwayne's Wednesday Robot Romper Room

Ro-Man (Ro-Man Extension XJ-9): It is the evil alien robot from the film Robot Monster. Ro-Man's job is to prepare the earth for an alien invasion. He must observe those who survived the alien death ray. Fortunately for the human survivors, they have an attractive woman among their number. Also lucky for them, the alien robot, who looks like a gorilla in an antennaed diver's helmet, easily falls for the lovely earth women. The aliens are thwarted or was is just a dream?

Dwayne's Rockin' 'n' Rollin' Robots

Here is Sir Elton John with I'm Your Robot.

Doodler’s Paradise

This is a bit of a departure for us at WMAGNFARB central. While Doodler’s Paradise would be a good band name, we feel it is probably more fit for a bluegrass band than a rock band. Discuss...

Lab-grown Teeth

I think the band Lab-grown Teeth would put a smile on everyone's face.  (Ouch -- that's bad.)

K-9 (K-9 Mark I - IV): originally appeared on the obscure British science-fiction show Dr. Who. It has subsequently appeared on a few spin-off series including an show entitled K-9 and Company (oddly enough). Needless to say, K-9 is a robot dog. It happens to also shoot lasers out of his nose and has a computer memory bank for a brain. Good dog!

Around the Campfire Comment of the Day.

As you may know, I run another blog called Around the Campfire.  It has been around a while, so it regularly gets comment spam.  Right now, it is getting about 25 - 1000+ word comments a day.  Most of them are unremarkable (and similar), but this one caught my eye:

Sex in a Cessna or any light plane can be exhilarating and since your flight instructor never trained you how to do this you will need to read all of this several part series of articles, polo ralph lauren homme, we do not want you screwing things up so to speak. In part one, polo ralph lauren, we explained the need for a practice area and separation between other aircraft, staying out of flight path of other aircraft and setting the aircraft up in level flight.Remember to be well away from restricted areas such as Washington DC. I cannot say for sure what those guys in the Cessna 150 thought they were doing, christian louboutin, but they must have had their heads up their butts.

It goes on like that for a while... Needless to say, the blue lettering are the removed links. Spamming does not pay!

C-3PO (aka See-Threepio, Threepio, Golden-Rod): C-3PO is the protocol droid who found his start in George Lucas' 1977 film Star Wars. C-3PO is the companion to the squat astromech droid R2-D2 making them the cosmic Laurel and Hardy. As well as being a protocol droid, C-3PO is fluent "in over six million forms of communication", all of them boring. It is also against his programming to impersonate a deity.

Flame-Shooting Russian Duckmobile

While Flame-Shooting Russian Duckmobile would be a good name for a rock band, it is chock full of awsome.  So, it gets its own post.  Check out Jalopnik for details on this Russian beasty.

R2-D2 (aka Artoo, Artoo Deetoo): R2-D2 is an astromech droid and the constant companion to C-3PO found in George Lucas's Star Wars films. It all began a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away (that being 1977 Hollywood) when Lucas released his first Star Wars film called of all things Star Wars, and then slightly later Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Of course, Lucas uses the term "droid" to refer to all robots; however, droid is a shortened version of android, which is a robot that looks like a human, which C-3PO will if one enjoys enough drinks at the Mos Eisley Cantina. However, nothing short of a Jedi Mind-trick could make you believe R2-D2 looked human. I guess R2-D2 is technically a bulletdroid, but there is no such thing and Lucas is king and he gets what he wants, which is usually a lot of money.

Would Make a Good Name for a Rock Band

As a foremost purveyor of Rock Band names, I assure you that I was not consulted on this article by that respected news source: The Onion. The media always gets things wrong. There still remain plenty of Rock Band names for years to come.

The recent lack of activity was a result of a long power outage at AOENC headquarters. We are now back, and our powerful weapons of mass disruption are powering up to bring you more band names and robot hijinks.
