Roald Dahl hosted a TV show in the early 1960s called 'Way Out. It is sort of a Twilight Zone/Outer Limits type show. They only made 14 episodes and Archive.org has 5 of them. Being before video tape, the video and sound quality are -- not great. However, I'll let you be the judge of the story telling. Here is the premiere episode - William and Mary. It is the story of a terminally ill man who is given the opportunity to live longer -- in a jar.
